Biography

Shauna Jones is a Senior Lecturer at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University. She holds a Master's degree in Leadership and teaches courses focused on Foundations of Collaborative Work Environments. With decades of experience in business consulting, facilitation training, and career management coaching, Shauna co-teaches SFU's Certificate Program in University Teaching and Learning, a 13-week program designed for Graduate Students, and has co-facilitated Rethinking Teaching, a 4-day course design workshop for faculty. Her teaching philosophy is centered around creating significant learning experiences that shift from a content-centered to a learner-centered approach, impacting students cognitively and emotionally. Shauna plays a vital role as Academic Director of Teaching and Learning and is a Faculty Teaching Fellow, actively participating in the Teaching and Learning Council at Beedie. She supports both full-time faculty and part-time instructors through guidance and professional development opportunities related to teaching and learning.
