Biography

Sherry Rose is an Associate Professor at the University of New Brunswick in the Faculty of Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Education, a Master’s degree (M.Ed.), and a Bachelor's degree (B.Ed.) in Early Childhood Education from the same university. Her primary research interests include Critical Studies, Multimodal Literacies, Narrative Assessment, and Early Childhood Curriculum. She has a significant focus on Teaching Literacy, Early Years Literacy Learning, and the intersection of Feminist Theory with Education. As co-director of the UNB Early Childhood Centre, she provides daily support to a team of early childhood educators and plays a crucial role in educating children at the UNB Children's Centre. Sherry collaborates with school districts and graduate students to co-plan and facilitate workshops and conferences across the province, in addition to supervising graduate students in their studies.
