Biography

Shruti Patel joined NADEL as a senior lecturer in March 2021 and brings extensive experience in bridging research, policy, and practice. She has consulted on programmes funded by both bilateral and multilateral donors in countries such as Bangladesh, Romania, and Uganda, and served as a policy advisor for the Government of Lesotho. Prior to joining ETH, she worked with the Biovision Foundation, supporting initiatives focused on sustainable agriculture and knowledge transfer in East Africa, where she played a key role in leading the organisation's strategy, monitoring, and evaluation efforts. At NADEL, Shruti teaches courses on agriculture, food and nutrition security, behavior change, and storytelling. She holds a degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nottingham and an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, demonstrating her passion for connecting academic insights with policy implementation.
