Biography

Sofya Isaakyan is an Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. She earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour from Maastricht University in 2018. Her research focuses on employees’ upward expression of ideas and concerns about work-related issues, specifically voice behaviour, and how managers can effectively build leadership capacity and leader identity. In 2022, she received the prestigious Veni research grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). Sofya serves as an editorial member of the Journal of Management Studies and teaches a wide range of topics including Leadership, Development, and Teams across Bachelor's, Master's, Full-time MBA, Executive MBA, and Executive Education programs at RSM. Before entering academia, Sofya worked as a consultant in leadership development, bridging the gap between science and practice by working with business leaders and non-academic collaborators on evidence-based solutions.
