Biography

Søren Sindberg Jensen is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark, focusing on research in didactics, pedagogy, and primary and secondary education. His research particularly examines children's and young people's perspectives on issues such as transnationality, migration, climate crisis, belonging, identity, power relations, and inequality. He investigates pedagogy through dialogue and various teaching subjects, with a methodological emphasis on qualitative methods including document analysis, interviews, observations, and ethnographically inspired fieldwork. Currently, he is involved in research projects and programs addressing educational practices for migrant children and has been a member of networks that explore the intersections of art and education, as well as cultural literacy from a decolonial perspective. He has delivered numerous conference presentations and guest lectures and contributed to the development of educational theory and practice.
