Biography

Steve Desjardins is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Science at the University of Ottawa. He holds a BSc with Honours in Chemistry and Physics from Carleton University, completed in 1991, as well as a BSc in Mathematics from Carleton University in 1996. He earned his MSc in Chemistry from Carleton University in 1994 and an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Ottawa in 1997. Dr. Desjardins completed his PhD in Mathematics at the University of Ottawa in 2002. His research interests include Partial Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Signal Processing, and the application of Teaching Technology and Pedagogical Practices. He is actively involved in exploring innovative teaching methods and providing valuable academic support to his students, thereby enhancing their learning experience. Desjardins has a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in his teaching and research, contributing to a positive academic environment at the university.
