Biography

Susanna Loeb is a Professor at the Graduate School of Education and a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. She is also the founding director of the Center for Education Policy at Stanford and co-director of Policy Analysis for California Education. Her extensive research focuses on education policy and improving educational opportunities for students, addressing issues such as educator career choices, professional development, school finance, governance, and early childhood systems. Prior to her role at Stanford, Loeb was the Barnett Family Professor of Education at Brown University, where she also served as the Director of the Annenberg Institute. She is a member of the National Academy of Education and has received recognition from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
