Dr. Tamara Van Woezik

Biography

Tamara van Woezik is an Assistant Professor at the Radboud Teachers Academy, where her research focuses on affective learning and self-directed learning. Her educational philosophy is premised on the idea that learners should have the autonomy to direct their learning, fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment. Van Woezik's research projects investigate the interactions between teachers and learners to cultivate such environments. Her work spans various contexts, including university students and both secondary education and academic teacher training. She is involved in projects that develop a sense of belonging and support teacher agency in the development of self-directed learning. In addition to her research, she coordinates teacher education programs covering pedagogy and the design of sustainable education, as well as personal and professional development courses.
