Biography

Thomas J. McKenna is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Science Education at Boston University's Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. With over 20 years of experience as a scientist, educator, and science communicator, he focuses on enhancing STEM education through research-based practices. McKenna serves as the Director of the Center for STEM Professional Learning at Scale and as the Associate Director for Educator Engagement Impact within the AI & Education Initiative. His recent presentations highlight the importance of authentic, inquiry-driven learning and the critical need for educational reform in science teacher training.
