Biography

Tracy Hecht is a Professor and the Graduate Program Director of the PhD Program in Business Administration at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University. She received her PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Hecht's research focuses on the work-nonwork interface, particularly how work, family, and life roles interact to affect job search processes, careers, and well-being. Her work has been published in reputable journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. Dr. Hecht's research has been funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Fonds Québécois de Recherche sur la Société et la Culture. She has received several awards such as the Junior Scholarship Award from the John Molson School of Business in 2008 and the President’s New Researcher Award from the Canadian Psychological Association in 2006. Dr. Hecht has extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels, covering topics such as research methods, organizational behavior, and human resource management. She actively mentors graduate students and has supervised numerous MSc and PhD theses.
