Biography

Trevor Mutton is a Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Oxford, specializing in Teacher Education. He has been a faculty member since 1997 and has contributed significantly to the field through various courses, including the Modern Languages PGCE programme and a part-time MSc in Learning and Teaching. He also oversees research for MSc in Teacher Education and MSc in Medical Education, and supervises doctoral students. His principal research interests include initial teacher education, teacher education policy, and the continued professional learning of teachers. Trevor is a distinguished member of both the Teacher Education Professional Learning research group and the Subject Pedagogy research group. He is currently leading the departmentally funded project 'Capacity Research in Teacher Education'. Additionally, he serves as the Deputy Editor of the Journal of Education for Teaching and is on the editorial board of Teaching Education. Trevor is also a Visiting Professor at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
