Vernon Miller’s research focuses on communicative aspects of employment interviews, organizational entry socialization, role negotiation, and large-scale organizational change processes. Current courses taught by Dr. Miller include COM 240 Introduction to Organizational Communication, COM 440 Organizational Communication Structure, COM 815 Organizational Communication, and MGT 411 Organizational Staffing. His research also emphasizes how organizational members seek information and engage in message exchanges related to role negotiation.
