Biography

Xiaojun Lu is a lecturer in the Department of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics at the University of Southampton. He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the UCL Institute of Education, University College London. Prior to joining the University of Southampton, Xiaojun taught at the University of Nottingham Ningbo in China. Xiaojun is an active contributor to several editorial boards and research forums related to language acquisition and teaching. He teaches a variety of modules that cater to the study of English as a Foreign Language and the principles of communicative language teaching. Xiaojun's extensive research includes understanding the dynamics of writing in non-alphabetic languages, particularly Chinese, and he continues to explore the cognitive processes involved in language learning and writing.
