Yogi is currently pursuing doctoral research at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Western Australia. His research focuses on narrative inquiry, examining teacher agency among English teachers in Indonesia's digital teaching and learning context. After obtaining his bachelor's degree in English Education from Indonesia University of Education in 2015, he qualified and worked as an English teacher in a bilingual primary school in Bandung, Indonesia. He later completed a Master of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Monash University in Australia under a scholarship from the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP). His academic excellence was recognized with the Faculty of Education Dean’s Award in 2019. Currently, Yogi has been awarded the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) travel grant and is actively involved in professional development and teacher education. His research interests encompass teacher professional development, teacher identity, teaching methodology, and narrative-based research, linking closely with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Yogi also holds leadership positions as the President of the Association of Indonesian Postgraduate Students Scholars in Australia and as Editor-in-Chief at Indonesia Mengglobal.
