Biography

Agnieszka Dziedzic is a lecturer at the Penn Language Center with over 20 years of experience in teaching Polish. Raised in Poland, she obtained her M.Ed. from the University of Białystok. Since joining the faculty at the Penn Language Center in 2013, Agnieszka has been actively involved in improving language pedagogy through assessment-driven and reverse-designed methods. She participated in an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation project that focused on transforming language instruction in collaboration with the University of Chicago. Her contributions include developing proficiency tests and designed curricula for Polish language courses. Agnieszka has also received a Certificate in Instructional Technologies for Online Learning and aims to further her knowledge in this area. In addition to her professional endeavors, she is an advisor for the Penn Polish Club and enjoys attending classical concerts, operas, and traveling to explore new cultures. She was recognized with the Penn Language Center Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Language Educator in 2015.
