Biography

Chris Campbell is a Nexus Fellow at UNSW Canberra where he engages with staff on innovative learning and teaching. His research focuses on educational technologies that enhance student learning engagement, particularly in online environments. Campbell has expertise in learning and teaching innovation and has previously conducted a university-wide evaluation and implementation of the ePortfolio system, PebblePad. He has a strong record of researching emerging technologies in the digital space, including projects related to learning design and the use of virtual worlds in education. He has also worked on a significant project funded by the NSW Department of Education aimed at implementing micro-credentials and short courses. Chris's research includes publications on online mobile learning and TPACK in mathematics education, and he has been involved in the ARC Linkage Grant focusing on self-regulation in middle years students. Chris is a former Queensland-Smithsonian Fellow, contributing to the Smithsonian Learning Lab and its implications for teachers.
