Dr. Cristyne Hébert

Biography

Cristyne Hébert is an Associate Professor at the University of Regina, specializing in Assessment and Evaluation within the Faculty of Education. Her research interests include digital literacy learning, non-traditional assessment methods, and teacher education. She is particularly focused on multimodal assessment in K-12 classrooms and the implications of assessment policies in Saskatchewan. Cristyne's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Language and Culture Teaching from York University in 2015, a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Queen’s University in 2010, and a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Philosophy) from the University of Ottawa and York University, respectively. She actively teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses, including Critical Perspectives on Assessment and Educational Technology. Cristyne's publications reflect her dedication to exploring effective pedagogies and assessing learning within educational contexts. She has presented her research at various international conferences and received funding for diverse educational projects aimed at improving teacher readiness in modern classrooms. Outside of her academic roles, she is involved in community initiatives aimed at enhancing K-12 education through innovative teaching practices and technologies.
