Biography

Liz Kolb is a Clinical Professor in the Marsal Family School of Education at the University of Michigan, where she focuses on advancing equitable learning opportunities through digital technologies. With a strong background in educational technology and teacher education, she leads faculty in education technology and teaches various courses at both the undergraduate and Master’s levels. Liz is an accomplished author, having written five significant books on integrating mobile technology into education, along with numerous articles published in respected educational journals. Her contributions have been recognized through various awards, including the UM Golden Apple Teaching Award and ISTE’s Making it Happen Award. Liz is also heavily involved in educational initiatives, serving on numerous state and national boards dedicated to advancing technology in education. Her research interests currently explore the effective use of technology in P-12 classrooms, the Triple E Framework, and issues of technology equity and digital wellness among middle school students.
