Biography

Giovanni Radaelli holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees from Politecnico di Milano, Italy. He joined Warwick Business School in 2014 as a research fellow for the NIHR CLAHRC (Collaboration Leadership Applied Health Research Care) in West Midlands. Giovanni has led research projects focused on developing new services within NHS trusts, specifically in acute mental health, which emphasize the integration of new technologies with existing, fragmented services. He has also participated in EU-funded projects assessing new health technologies and their impact on organizational structures and operations. His current research interests concentrate on the development of new services in professional environments, particularly within NHS and academia. Key case studies include the emergence and functioning of multidisciplinary teams in cancer care, the development of integrated services in mental health settings, and the role of electronic patient records. Giovanni's research particularly explores the function of middle managers and professional leaders as initiators and facilitators of organizational change, as well as the complexities of professional misconduct in relation to external actors and crime organizations. His work is published in leading academic journals including Human Relations, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, and the International Journal of Operations & Production Management.
