Dr. Jaime Park

Biography

Jaime Park is a teacher educator and researcher focused on equity-centered mathematics education and teacher preparation. He has served as Lead Faculty in various UCLA programs, including the LAUSD-UCLA Teacher Residency, the NSF-funded NOYCE Scholarship Program, and the U.S. Department of Education-funded IMPACT Programs, which support novice teachers through culturally responsive and community-based pedagogy. He is the lead author of "Framing Pre-Service Teacher Learning Accountability" featured in Harvard Press's "Transforming Public Schools: UCLA’s Center X Become Pillar of Social Justice Education in Los Angeles," which examines transformative teaching strategies in urban classrooms. Jaime's scholarship emphasizes teacher identity, professional growth, and project-based learning. He is the Lead Researcher for a study on Teacher Autoethnography, investigating how teachers' personal narratives inform pedagogy. Additionally, Jaime has co-edited special issues focusing on equity in project-based learning and prepares future educators through his course, ED320AB: Secondary Mathematics Methods.
