Dr. Jolanta Hudson

Biography

Jolanta Hudson is a University Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at the University of Glasgow, specializing in the intersection of technology and language learning. She holds a Master's degree in TESOL and is currently pursuing a PhD in E-Research and Technology-Enhanced Learning at Lancaster University. Her teaching journey has spanned primary, secondary, and tertiary education, beginning as an EFL/EAL teacher before transitioning to higher education as an ESOL/EAP lecturer. Jolanta has also served as an examination marker for the Scottish Qualifications Authority and has worked as an external examiner at Sunderland University. Her current role includes being the convenor for the Academic English Skills for International Undergraduates course and serving as the Technology-Enhanced Learning Teaching Officer at the School of Modern Languages and Cultures. Jolanta is passionate about the integration of technology in teaching and has made significant contributions to the field through leadership roles in professional organizations such as BALEAP and ELINET. Her research interests encompass EAP pedagogy, technology-enhanced learning, and the use of generative AI in education. She actively supervises MSc and MEd TESOL students, focusing on online language teaching and the impact of language learning apps.
