Dr. Kenji Hakuta

Biography

Kenji Hakuta is the Lee L. Jacks Professor of Education, Emeritus at the Graduate School of Education at Stanford University, where he has made significant contributions to the fields of educational policy, literacy, language psychology, and the standards of teaching. He has served as a professor emeritus of linguistics by courtesy at Stanford University since 2019. Hakuta’s work focuses on the intersection of language and education, and he has published extensively in these areas. As an emeritus faculty member, he continues to influence education through research and scholarship and maintains an active presence in academic affairs.
