Dr. Laureen Mcintyre

Biography

Laureen McIntyre is an Associate Professor and the Graduate Chair in the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education at the University of Saskatchewan. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as speech language development, special education, and educational psychology. McIntyre's research focuses on meeting the diverse needs of individuals with varying language and literacy challenges, with an emphasis on early intervention and creating inclusive learning environments. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from the University of Saskatchewan, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Communication Disorders from Minot State University, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta. McIntyre is also a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist in Canada and has worked in community health and school settings. She has served on various university and professional committees, contributing to research and practice in the fields of education and speech-language pathology.
