Biography

Marc Goodrich's research focuses on developing early language literacy skills in multilingual children. He is particularly interested in how children leverage their knowledge of their native language while acquiring English during preschool and early elementary school. His recent research projects have focused on intervention approaches aimed at improving early academic outcomes for young multilingual children. Additionally, he is engaged in work to develop novel approaches for distinguishing between language differences and potential language learning disorders in multilingual children. Dr. Goodrich's contributions have been published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, and he has received funding for his research from numerous agencies, including the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the Institute of Education Sciences of the U.S. Department of Education. He is accepting doctoral students for admission in Fall 2025.
