Biography

Martine Baars is an associate professor at the Behavioural Science Institute of Radboud University, where she focuses on the intersection of self-regulated learning and technology-enhanced education. Her research primarily addresses instructional strategies that enhance self-monitoring and self-regulation across primary, secondary, and higher education contexts. Baars's work emphasizes the importance of motivation in the learning process and examines how cognitive load affects learning in both offline and online environments. She leads the Adaptive Learning Lab, which investigates methods to improve academic performance through advanced learning frameworks.
