Dr. Megan Adams

Biography

Megan Adams is an Associate Professor at Monash University, specializing in Curriculum, Teaching, and Inclusive Education. She holds extensive experience in Australian and international educational contexts, ranging from pre-kindergarten to tertiary levels. Her research primarily focuses on inclusion and diversity, particularly ways to reduce educational inequalities for marginalized groups. Currently, her research projects include working with pre-service teachers on their transitions into the teaching profession and exploring how to support diverse learners in school classrooms. Adams frequently collaborates with school leadership and teachers, both locally and internationally, to understand the perspectives of recent changes in education that affect professional learning for teachers. She is actively involved in projects related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, striving to integrate a STEAM approach into young children's learning. Adams’s pedagogical interests also encompass early childhood education, the initial teacher education process, and developing effective methodologies for teaching and learning.
