Dr. Nancy Tseng

Biography

Nancy Tseng is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of California, Davis, focusing on the development of productive student-teacher relationships in mathematics classrooms. Her research centers on identifying instructional practices that facilitate mathematics learning for both pre-service and in-service teachers. Tseng has a rich educational background, holding a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education and an M.A. in Curriculum Instruction from the University of Maryland, College Park, as well as a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. After a career that began as a public elementary school teacher, she has held various academic roles, including teaching positions and consultancy in teacher preparation programs. Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous research projects and has presented her findings at various academic conferences.
