Dr. Patricia Chen studies mindsets and behaviors that motivate learning, performance, and well-being. She is passionate about using psychological science to improve lives and societies. Dr. Chen joined the Department of Educational Psychology in Spring 2023 after earning her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2015. Her work emphasizes the impact of mindsets on learning and achievement and involves a commitment to creating effective social-psychological interventions that translate well into educational settings.
