Biography

Rebecca Rosa is a Lecturer/Supervisor within the Teacher Education Credential program at the University of California, Davis, where she has been instrumental in guiding future educators to make significant impacts on California's school-aged children. Her extensive research interests encompass Children's Literature, Classroom Discourse, Classroom Management, Educational Equity, Elementary Education, English Learners, and Social Sciences Education. With a Master’s degree in International & Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Redlands, she is well-equipped to teach and mentor a diverse student body. Since 2001, she has served as a lecturer, supervising student teachers across multiple subjects, while actively participating in numerous committees within the university to foster educational excellence and equity. Her dedication extends to both teaching and community engagement, offering insights and guidance through her work with various educational projects and initiatives. As an educator, she emphasizes cross-cultural understanding and effective teaching methodologies, aiming to inspire her students to address diverse learning needs and create inclusive classroom environments.
