Biography

Renée Bourgoin is a part-time instructor in the Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick. Her research interests focus on literacy acquisition, pedagogy, biliteracy, and strategies for at-risk or struggling language readers. She is also interested in cross-linguistic transfer and inclusion in language immersion settings. Prior to joining the Faculty of Education, Renée worked as a classroom immersion teacher and subject coordinator in a school district. She holds a PhD from the University of New Brunswick, an MEd from the University of Victoria, and both a BEd and BA from the University of New Brunswick.
