Dr. Rikke Ørngreen

Biography

Rikke Ørngreen is a professor and the Vice Head of Research at the Department of Culture and Learning at Aalborg University. She leads the Research Center for Video and specializes in methods, processes, and tools that support the design, organization, implementation, and evaluation of IT-supported learning and organizational change. Her research interests include the development of innovative approaches to IT-based learning, employing digital methods and creative audiovisual techniques, particularly involving video and immersive technologies such as XR, VR, and AR. Ørngreen's methodologies aim to integrate data and participatory formats that enhance individual learning and competence development, as well as foster group collaboration and knowledge sharing at the organizational level. She has extensive experience in research management through collaborations with both private and public entities on national and international projects. Her work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, aimed at ending poverty and ensuring prosperity for all.
