Sarah Landry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychoeducation and Andragogy at the Faculty of Education at the University of Montreal. Her doctoral project led her to develop expertise on the development of social thinking (i.e., the ability to understand, adapt and reflect on social interactions) in children, as well as on the support of symbolic play. She is particularly interested in play as a context for learning and development in early childhood and primary education, as well as the role of adults in supporting children engaged in this process. Her work also focuses on developing skills related to social thinking (e.g. theory of mind, prosociality, social problem-solving), social acceptance, and educational contexts that promote these. Through her research, she aims to contribute to the discussions surrounding the work of teachers and educators.
