Biography

Shaista Shirazi is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Glasgow's School of Social & Environmental Sustainability. She earned her PhD in Science Education from the University of Leeds, focusing on how school experiences impact students' choices to pursue science beyond secondary education. Her primary research interests lie in the fields of STEM education and citizen science, particularly how active learning and technology-enabled environments can enhance student motivation and interest in STEM careers.
