Dr. Simon De Jong

Biography

Simon B. de Jong is a Full Professor of Organization Studies at Maastricht University. His research focuses on expanding contemporary knowledge in areas such as teamwork, organizational design, effective leadership, and performance management. He collaborates with co-authors to explore the impact of top management teams, proactive employee behavior, HRM practices, utilization of Artificial Intelligence within organizations, and the adaptation of Change Management models in light of the new circular economy. His publication record includes various practical papers, book chapters, and scientific articles in leading journals recognized globally, including the Journal of Applied Psychology and Organization Science. Simon has presented his work at numerous international conferences, including those of the Dutch HRM and the Academy of Management. Before joining Maastricht University, he held several roles within top universities across Europe, such as the University of Groningen, University of St. Gallen, EADA Business School, and the University of East Anglia. In addition to his role as Full Professor, he leads the Organization section of the OSE group and has served in various managerial and editorial capacities, emphasizing his extensive experience in research and consultancy across diverse HRM topics.
