Tamara Carver, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Sciences Education and an Associate Member of the Department of Surgery at McGill University. She is also the Director of the Office Ed-TECH within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Carver completed her Master’s degrees at Concordia University in the Department of Exercise Science, specializing in clinical exercise physiology, and earned her PhD from McGill’s Faculty of Education in 2014. Following her post-doctoral training in the Department of Family Medicine from 2014 to 2017, she developed blended online graduate courses and contributed significantly to the online Scholarly Activity Program for clinical teachers and residents. Dr. Carver has played a key role in the development of the successful International Blended Education Programs across several countries including China, Brazil, Switzerland, and France. She has led the creation of the Family Medicine Innovations Learning program within the Department of Family Medicine since 2017. Her current research interests focus on medical education, community education, faculty development, education technology, online learning, and remote learning.
