Biography

Yeping Li is a Professor in Mathematics STEM Education at Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Studies in Mathematics Education from the University of Pittsburgh. With a past role as Executive Head of the Department of Teaching, Learning & Culture and the Claude H. Everett Jr. ’47 Endowed Chair from 2011 to 2015, Dr. Li has extensively focused on mathematics education through a cross-cultural lens. His awards include the Senior Scholar Research Excellence Award from TAMU’s College of Education and Human Development in 2025 and accolades from Springer Nature for his editorial contributions. In 2023, he was acknowledged as one of the World’s Top 1% Most-Cited Scientists in Education according to Elsevier Stanford data. He actively recruits PhD students, encouraging motivated individuals to pursue careers in academia and research.
