Biography

Florent Michelot is an Assistant Professor in Educational Technology at Concordia University since 2024 and an Associate Professor at the Université de Moncton. Previously, he worked as an educational advisor at the Université de Montréal and was a professor at the Université de Moncton, Shippagan campus. He holds a background in law and political science, and he earned his PhD in Andragogy from the Université de Montréal. Michelot is also an associated researcher involved in the preparatory work for the Government of Quebec's Digital Competency Framework and a member of the International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technologies. He co-edited the book "Digital Competence in Educational Contexts: Perspectives and International Insights," which gathers contributions from authors across Quebec, Canada, the United States, and Europe.
