Biography

Françoise Armand is a full professor at the Faculty of Education at the Université de Montréal. Her research focuses on second language teaching, pluriliteracy, and multilingualism. She conducts research on early language awakening and openness to linguistic diversity and on reading and writing in a second language. She is also interested in the study of various models of welcome and francization services for new immigrants in Quebec. She served as the director of the Metropolis Research Center of Quebec for six years, ensuring leadership in the area of immigration research and establishing links between researchers and policymakers.
