Professor Dr. Ola Lindberg

Biography

Ola Lindberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at Umeå University. His research interests predominantly focus on professional learning and professional education, particularly the transitions from education to work. He earned his doctorate in 2012, with a thesis that explored the education of medical doctors. Lindberg has a notable interest in the reflection process involved in professional learning and collaborates within groups focused on leadership and the organization of working life. He has been recognized as a Distinguished University Teacher and was awarded the title of 'Excellent Teacher' in 2015. His ongoing research projects include 'Study Culture, Labour Market Professional Practice' and 'Developing Students’ Professionalism: Effective Practices in Medical Education'. Additionally, he investigates how organizational routines in incident command centers can improve society's capabilities to manage extreme events.
