Biography

Rajiv Jhangiani is an Associate Professor at Brock University and Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning. He directs the Inclusive Education Research Lab and is an affiliated member of the Social Justice Research Institute. He is known for architecting Canada’s zero textbook cost degree programs. His scholarship is focused on open educational practices, student-centered pedagogies, and ethical approaches in educational technology. Jhangiani is a co-author of several open textbooks in psychology, including "Open: Philosophy Practices Revolutionizing Education Science" (2017) and "Open Margins: Critical Perspectives on Open Education" (2020). He co-founded the Open Pedagogy Notebook with Dr. Robin DeRosa and serves on the Board of Directors for Open Education Global as well as the British Columbia Ethical Educational Technologies Working Group.
