Biography

Riccardo Peccei is an Emeritus Professor of Organisational Behaviour at King's College London. He holds a BA in History from Harvard University, and both a BPhil and DPhil in Sociology from Oxford University. Peccei joined King's in 2000 after nearly twenty years at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has been a Senior Research Officer at the Industrial Sociology Unit at Imperial College and has contributed to various academic appointments including Visiting Research Fellow roles at Erasmus University from 2003 to 2007, Tilburg University from 2007 to 2015, and Ghent University in Belgium in 2022-2023. His research focuses on Human Resource Management (HRM), analysing topics such as employee participation, well-being, and the relationship between HRM and organisational performance. He has published extensively in leading journals within management and organisational behaviour fields. Currently, he collaborates with academics from institutions including Free University Amsterdam and University of Amsterdam Business School on research concerning workplace inequality and the application of machine learning to HRM-performance relationships. Peccei has supervised numerous Ph.D. dissertations and has been an internal and external examiner for many theses across several universities.
