Dr. Silke Werner

Biography

Silke Werner is an academic associate at the Institute of Educational Science at the University of Zurich. She specializes in qualitative research methods, focusing particularly on qualitative reconstructive social research, school and school development research, implementation processes in schools, teacher collaboration, teacher professionalism, and documentary evaluation research. Silke completed her doctorate at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zurich, where she investigated the cooperative implementation strategy of educational intervention research. She also has experience in various educational settings and has worked as a scientific assistant and project employee, contributing to education-related research projects. Silke has been a member of several professional organizations related to educational research and evaluation since 2007. She is involved in reviewing academic work for scholarly journals. Her academic interests and research contributions emphasize the importance of self-regulated learning in educational contexts and the cooperative practices that facilitate effective teaching and learning.
