Biography

Dr. Lobczowski is an Assistant Professor in the Learning Sciences program within the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University. She previously held a Postdoctoral Associate position at the Learning, Research, and Development Center (LRDC) at the University of Pittsburgh and at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) at Carnegie Mellon University. Her dissertation, titled 'Building Formation Regulation Emotions Collaborative Learning,' received the 2021 Paul R. Pintrich Outstanding Dissertation Award from the American Psychological Association. Dr. Lobczowski's research focuses on designing context-sensitive interventions in collaborative settings that incorporate cutting-edge technologies and analytical methods using a social regulation learning framework. Her recent work investigates dyadic differences affecting collaborative learning, examines emotional regulation strategies in project-based learning environments, and develops theoretical models for the formation of regulation emotions in collaborative learning contexts. Furthermore, she designs technologies to support students and teachers in secondary school mathematics education.
